  Evening all,
NEW SOUTH WALES Register of Convict Applications to Marry

On the 11 th Nov 1826 permission for convict Janet Angus to marry James Waters.
Are there any descendants of James Waters who are doing the family history with information ?

regards Stuart.

Hi Stuart,
Are you looking to ask for help in your research through this board or do you only wish to contact people with the same family interest?

Looking back over your recent past posts I see you have a good deal of information regarding JANET.

Perhaps if you were to summarize it here, searches by helpers here in Australia  my be more exact.

Sue

Hi Sue , Yes I was hoping that I might be able to find more about Janet's past   ( Her parents  ) through marriage although it is so far back in time , that even the Australian BDM don't go back that far. I'm only hoping.
regards Stuart.

Hi Stuart,

A marriage that early would most likely not contain the names of Janet's parents anyway, even if the record was still in existence.

As Janet was a convict, her birth/baptism and therefore parents are going to be found back in England or wherever she was from.

Cheers
Prue

Thank you Prue . I will give it one last go in Perthshire. I was hoping she maybe one of us. She could have been a sister, daughter to one of the distant  relatives at the time as she was born in the same county.
regards Stuart.

Looks like James Waters did not marry Janet Angus.

Found that she did in fact marry another  - James Schofield.
