The point about my Samuel is that I cannot find his parents and I didn't find any Samuels when I looked at the Whatfield families.  Therefore I don't know if there's a connection or not do I?  Maybe you could simply give me info about the Samuels you have - I would be so pleased and grateful as thgis is proving a huge brick wall to my research.

Thanks
Anne

Here is an extract from our first page of our Mowles family tree, and you can see we also have no idea of where Isaac came from, so we have never been able to find his parents, would need to know that to be able to search early church records.

"In about the year 1800, a young man arrived int he small Suffolk village of Whatfield, some two miles north of Hadleigh, and ten miles west of Ipswich.  In his early 20s, Isaac Mouls had found work as a labourer on one of the farms in the village, but it was not until he was 30, in the year 1808, that he was able to marry his 18 year old sweetheart Elizabeth Severing. They settled in a small cottage and raised a family of ........" and then our tree goes on for about 50 A4 pages of data showing births, marriages and death plus photos and certificates that we have obtained over the years.  You will appreciate we are sure that we cant just give that to people who are not family members, but if you do find a connection, please contact us, sorry  we are not prepared to just give our details without that connection and we cant find any mention of Hitchfleld as the home of any of our Mowles, family, but of course we only have what the certs, the census, and BDM details show, and they are not always very descriptive as we would like them to be.

Hi:
On my father's side I believe we may be related as our family came from Whatfield. My grandfather's name was Robert Cecil Russel Isaac Mowles born in Whatfield on February 12, 1895 and passed away in toronto in 1964. My great-grandfather was William Mowles, born 17 April 1867. My great-great-grandfather is Isaac Mowles born in 1813 in Aldham, suffolk and my great-great-great grandfather is Isaac Mole born in 1779.

If we are related I would be interested in any information you may have.
