excellent thank you very much, i actually went and checked his medals for service no and they match. another piece to the jigsaw.

it gives so much information on this regiment, including War Diaries. A photograph of Philip James Balmer to add to the photographs of his fellow soldiers would be valued. Hope you can help.

yes i have checked the site, excellent work. i do have a photo of Philip and will send it to you shortly. Philip also appeared in the new years honours list in jan. 1958.
