Have spoke to mum but dosnt recall a Thomas Ellis Thomas is a Welsh name so maybe a connection there somewhere regards Margaret
Absolutely correct Margaret....my earliest Ellis was Edward Ellis ,who was born in Flint,Wales and came to Garston...then all the Ellis born in Garston from his arrival to my knowledge, descend from Edward....but...in the back of my mind ,I think another Ellis possibly arrived in Garston, cos I can`t connect Thomas Ellis.

to pat cluskey and horsfalls,  hi pat and margaret. i haven't heard from anyone for a while.  i would like to ask a ask some ?'s.the family name sent were very helpful for my group family i am working on. if i am correct pat is a grandson  of samuel and margaret  is a granddaughter.of samuel. is that right?. are there other children or grandfield with direct ellis names ? ii should  believe there are a lot of cousins out there. by the way what were the maiden names ofjoan and gwen? it would be helpful for the group family information i realise that many names are not allowed to be given if still alive.

i visited great britain over 10 years ago. before i got into looking up the family.i did stop in a shop in wales andwas told that many welsh people went into england which complicates things.

i am still trying to find family.  hope all is well with you and yours. say hello to all for me.

Margaret and Leslie.. Hello !!
I have not been on this forum in a long time.. but I am in the final stages of putting the Ratcliffe book together..and have been randomly googling names to fill in blanks.. and this thread came up!!
I was able to copy a lot of info from your discussion..
I'm interested in birth info for children of Samuel and Beatrice K. Ellis. I only had names.. that's why I was googling this family. :)

BTW.. on Ancestry today, I saw someone with a tree for Nora.. but it had her birth year as 1912.. Samuel and Beatrice were married in 1916.. so I assume that the birthdate for Nora is incorrect. I put a note on the tree ( The amount of incorrect info on trees on Ancestry.. drives me crazy!!)

If you have any more info to share.. email me at mpitkin (at) live.com
That way I'll have current emails for you ..for when I finish the book.  I usually get them bound at Staples ( Office supply store).. but also publish as pdf that works on ereaders.

I'll be including only up to generations that are no longer living. I may include names of one living generation as "children of.." but won't include any birth info etc for them.

I look forward to hearing from you.. sorry I've been negligent with checking this thread!
