Hiya Les...ok...unfortunately I had a virus on my laptop about 6 weeks ago and I had to restore my computer back to "Factory Settings" which meant I lost all data....I can`t remember where I got the info on Samuels children....leave it with me and let me see if I can find it again ...I will have a good search for it tomorrow morning while everyone is still in bed...allan
ADDED OK Les...yes those children are easy to find...just found them...let me know when you have learnt to use PM and I will send you them....allan

garstonite  hi allan, as i,msure youknow i was able to get your info by the PM system. went to the ladies at the church library geneology room and sat down with one of them and we  got much of the info. but could not find a marriage record for stan.will check again tuesday (next day they are open) 2 days a week ,4 hours a day. still looking for the illusive thomas ellis and elizabeth, parents of samuel, the father of the 12 we obtained from jean (thanks again  jean) i'll keep working on him. hope you are still trying to find a link on our lines.
i just came up with some other females from a couple of family trees.
i'm going to be away for a week. my wifes mothers 90 birthday is next saturday .i would rather not going but i am the driver to sand point idaho and back.stay well.  lesls

Just to add some names, Samuel was my grandad. Children were Nora, Wilf, Stan, Frances, Hilda and Margo with just Frances and Margo still alive as at 25 Dec 2011.

Nora married Harold Sumner; Wilf married Joan, Stan married Gwen, Frances married Archie Grant, Hilda married Jim Cluskey and Margo married John O'Neill. Can supply more details if required.

Hiya Pat and welcome to Rootschat...from memory, I didn`t post the names of Samuels children in case any were still alive ...if you have posted any names that are still alive ?...it is Rootschat policy not to post living relatives names...when you have posted 3 times I will be able to PM you ( personal message )..I would be interested to know if you have any connections to my grandmother Martha Ellis born in  Garston  1898....father Joseph Ellis b 1857 Garston / mother Martha Barker b 1861 Dunham Massey

Thanks for the reply. Two of them are still alive, will know for the future. One of my cousins has done some work on the Ellis family tree, will try and get in touch with her.

Pat Cluskey  thanks for this message regarding your gf samuel. he is my gf's brother. i have some questions. 1st who was nora? she had never shown before. is wilf  joseph wilfred bn 1921? you stated wilf married John (?).  i am happy that 2 siblings are still living, would like to hear from them or about them. you said your mum corresponded with a cousin in calif, named wickersham. i  wonder if that could be my gf joseph's oldist sister. her name is wickersham . i would like any and all information that you have about the ellis clan. i was very glad to get the marriages i would be happy to send info you would like about my side of the clan.
thanks again.    les  jan 1 2012

Wilf is Joseph Wilfred who married Joan! My cousin who left the previous message has far more knowledge about the family than I and it is her mother who is still alive at 95!

It was her who was in correspondence with America. Nora was the eldest child as far as I know.

Do you know the parents of Joseph Ellis who was born in Widnes in 1857?

Will ask my cousin to contact you directly.

Pat
