When and where did they marry?  1881 census shows eldest child 24 so marriage around 1855

The 1881 is free to search at http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp

Lampeter is Cardigan but Whitland is Carmarthen and they were living in Carmarthen in 1881 and eldest child born there so it's likely they married there.  have you checked freebmd?  www.freebmd.org.uk

Lampeter is Cardigan

Actually Lampeter Velfry is in Pembrokeshire.

I cant see the marriage - but that is working from her being Hannah Morris - where did her maiden name come from?
Working from John Dav* is more difficult as there are millions!

Have you got a birth cert of one of the children?

Now it gets messy!

in 1851 this looks like Elizabeth (granny)
HO107 2468 195 13
as Mrs Phiilips, widowed with children including youngest, Sarah age 7

and this looks like grandad Thomas with a first wife and numerous children including 29 year old John ....but what doesnt tie up is that THIS John is born llanelly, not Lampeter, and is stated to be a tailor, not a manual metal worker of some kind ...
HO107 2468 195 13
Thomas 51 Tailor
Hannah 51   bn Carmarthen
John son 19 Tailor
Sarah Morris 29 widow dtr
Elizabeth Morris 7 gdtr
Mary Ann Morris 4 gdtr   all exceot Hannah bn Llanelly

so I am not sure I am on the right track at all!

We need to find that marriage.
There is clearly a link between branches of the Davies family and that of the Morris family isnt there?
