roughly 1940-51 his name was ronald william farmer if that helps.

regards

mike

He doesnt appear to have been born in Widnes, as I cant find a birth record, but have found a marriage record to a (*) in 1972.  Do you know of any brothers or sisters that your father had, as that will help identify a corrrect birth record

THere is a birth record for (*) which has been incorectly transcribed.

Registration district: Prescot
Registration county: Lancashire

If this is the corect brother, then there is a 2nd possible brother listed

(*) - Prescot, Lancashire

but nothing on a (*).  It is possible that his records where lost inthe blitz if he was born in 1940.

If this is the correct Maiden name, then here is your grand parents marriage
Name: Harry Farmer
Spouse Florrie Eden
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1932
Registration district: Prescot
Registration county (inferred): Lancashire

and based upon the date, a sister of your father

(*) - Prescot, Lancashire

This would make Harry / Harold your grandfather (heres abother possability)

Name:  Harry Farmer
Birth:  9 May 1912
Death:  Jun 2003 - Halton, Cheshire, England

and possibly his Wife Florrie

Name:  Florrie Farmer
Birth:  12 Apr 1913
Death:  Nov 1998 - Halton, Cheshire, England

Try contacting the cemetery, and ask if they are buried there.  they should be able to tell you who owns the grave, and where they lived at the time

Hi wildcamper,

I too am related to the Widnes Farmers, I have been researching for years.

Henry Farmer & Florrie Eden are buried in Widnes Cem.  Just as you go in the main entrance on the right.

Henry was my 1st cousin x2 removed.

Please get in touch.
