This might be a stroke of luck (or a huge coincidence) ....
On the 1861 census, I think, William Hampson is recorded twice. He appears with his wife in Preston
here and he also seems to appear at Liverpool RG9/2677 Folio 17 Page 27 as the Brother in Law of James Cockton Daulby and his wife Elizabeth (nee Spencer), who married in the second quarter of 1855 at St Philip, Liverpool.
If it is the same man (and it certainly seems so to me) then it looks like his future wife, Margaret Spencer and his future sister in law, Elizabeth Spencer might be found in 1851 at Liverpool HO107/2183 Folio 102 Page 70 and in 1841 at Liverpool HO107/561/20 Folio 12 Page 16 ... if someone else would like to check, please.
