census lookup please

Hi, I am struggling to find my Devlin family on census...tried various years.  The info I have is;

Arthur Devlin b.1832  d.1892 boot closer
Elizabeth Devlin (nee Wright) b. 1838  d. 4/8/1879
Elizabeth Devlin  b.1870  Middle or New parish, Greenock, Renfew
John         "         b. 1867                         "
Arthur      "         b. 1860                         "

I have spent so many hours on SP but cant find the family on any census???
Can anyone help?

In 1871 there is a very badly transcribed family, I suspect the page must be damaged or something.

the address appears to be Greenock Middle, Renfrewshire

Arthur 11 son Anburn, Ireland
?? Ann ?? daughter 10 Greenock
John Ch?? daughter 5 Greenock
Jane Ch?? 3 daughter 3 Greenock

there seems to be another family in the household too, maybe called Forman.

I just picked on this family because of the coincidence of the name Arthur and possibly others and birthplace of Ireland, but it may well show that there are problems with the documents for the area for the 1871 census.

I don't use SP so can only give you the references, which should be standard but I can't guarantee it.

I have a subs to Ancestry, unfortunately images aren't available for the Scottish censuses so a lot of more guesswork.  Sorry I had no luck with the other censuses.
