William longman Angus was born in the Orkney Isles 20th January 1859.  His middle name - Longman - seems to be related to his Aunt's husband, as there are no other Longmans in our family.  A William Longman married William Angus's Aunt Rebecca Allan at Hobart Australia in 1853. The had no children. William Angus sailed  to NZ on 28th November 1859, leaving Plymouth on the Opawa.  he married Catherine Curran ( from Ballyhaise, Co Cavan) in Oamaru 31st July 1883.  They live at papakaio (peebles) all their lives.  If i can help with anything else please do ask.

I have recently received Williams Angus's death certificate & the one I was interested in confirms that William Angus born 1880 married Ruth Adams in 1906 in Palmerston North & Elizabeth Watkins in Sydney in 1930 and died in Lower Hutt 1933.
I have another two William Angus's one born 27th Jan 1883 Mataru& died 24 th augus 1956 at Orkanui, Invercargill, and another born in Blackford Perth, Sct born 1849 and died 16 years later.
Further back another William Angus, born 12 Jan 1802 Dunbarney Per, Sct married Elizabeth Ellis & Died in 1867 Dundee, Sct.
