With the tribalpages site you don't have to register to have a look, just find my page and you can view the information as a visitor there is a small box on the right hand corner of the my home page, just type in the word 'ancestor' and it lets you view all the info.
The marriage for John Hazle/Hasell and Sarah Cook took place at thornbury on the 16 October, 1769 and is recorded in the 'scribes-alcove web site'. John's surname is spelt Hasell on the marriage entry. John and Sarah's line became limeburners and carriers. Where as Thomas's line were into agriculture and gamekeepers, my greatgrandfather and his father were gamekeepers for the Berkeley/Fitzhardinge estate.. and it was my greatgrand father William Hazell that came to Australia with his family in 1882.
I had a lot of my Hazell information sent to me by a fourth cousin, Ann Meadows who lives in Worstersire and she has done a great deal of research over the past few years at the archives and has sited a lot of the entries. She first thought that we were descended from John and Sarah but after a bit more searching of the records she found that we come down from John's brother Thomas and his wife Ann Hazell {nee Williams}.
(Unfortunately Ann has become very ill and is no longer doing any research and has not answered my emails. )
