Help with Ayres/Pike/Stanley History

Have been happily tracing my ancestry and got as far as the marriage of George Ayres and Rosanna Pike and have got documents of one sort or another to link back to this couple.

On the wedding certificate George Ayres father is shown as James Ayers Labourer - Rosanna's Father shown as John Pike Gatekeeper.

I have been given to understand that George;'s mother was Barbara Ayres who's parents were Mary Stanley and Samual Ayres ( I understand she may have had 14 Illegitimate children and possibly lived nr Froyle Hampshire.

Can anyone help me track my family backward from George and Rosanna... is there a paper trail or oral history for these families

Do you have a date for the marriage of George Ayres and Rosanna Pike? and do you know where they were married?  are  George and Rosanna's ages stated at the time of their marriage?  this may hold a clue as to where to start looking for them and the family.

Hi David I have put what i can find for you but regards census you should check it out as it might not be correct according to an member on ancestry

I think its very possible Keziah who witnessed marriage is daughter in law wife of their son Cornelius

That seems to tie Barbara to the right george - I know father because its on marriage lines - question now is whether |Barbara's parents were Mary Stanley and Samuel Ayres, and if anyone knows the family lines beyond them.

Also interested in Rosanna's family if anyone has the info.
