Welcome to Rootschat I've editied the first section of your post by capitalising the names to make it easier to read and removed excess empty lines at the bottom.
Are Thornaby and Lackenby somewhere in England?
Do you have the marriage certificate of James and Bridget?

Thornaby and Lackenby are in Cleveland in the north east of england.
I have the wedding certificate of James and Bridget. I'm trying to find the birth place and
family of my great grand father in Ireland. From the wedding certificate I know his fathers name is Charles and his occupation is a farmer. From census records I found that James had a brother Arthur.

What's listed as James' residence on the marriage certificate. To find church records (if they exist) you'll need a location in Ireland.

James and Bridget(Devlin) were married 2.10.1873 at the roman catholic chapel of Dunamore in the district of Pomeroy, Cookstown, Co Tyrone.
James occupation is a farmer. His residence is Tullyreavey.
Bridget's residence is Keenaghan.
Both are listed as " Full age".
Witnesses to the marriage were Henry Lennon and Sarah Hadden.

There's lots of information in the Resource threads at the top of this forum and here's a link posted there for R.C. records- think it might be listed as Donaghmore. If so, the records look quite promising. Not sure where you are but since PRONI's closed until April the microfilm copies of church records are at Creggagh Library (see www.proni.gov.uk), National Library in Dublin looks to have a copy and also LDS Library (check with your local branch for ordering).

No need to start another topic looking for the same information so I've merged your latest post with the existing thread.

There's an Arthur O'Neill in Pomeroy at the time of the 1901 census-born c1833 so possible old enough to be your James' father Arthur- Ellen might be 2nd wife?
