west tarring marriage

Please could someone look out for a marriage between Jane Collins and William Cater, either at West Tarring or maybe Worthing c1815-1820. Jane's brother Charles Gower Collins married at West Tarring in 1817 and Jane remarried there to Thomas Burgess in Aug 1823 following the death of William Cater in 1822.

Hi Jancba,

I cannot see the marriage in the West Tarring register - looked up Heene and Broadwater too, but without success. The SMI remains to be checked.

If the SMI proves fruitless I suggest you try St Mary's Whitechapel, Middlesex - it's where the Tarring register says Charles was from, and maybe his sister was from there too. Marriages often took place in the bride's home parish.
