I wondered if this was a brother ... http://freereg.rootsweb.com/cgi/SearchResults.pl?RecordType=Baptisms&RecordID=5246456 ... but there were other SELLERSs

and then there's http://freereg.rootsweb.com/cgi/SearchResults.pl?RecordType=Baptisms&RecordID=5246466

I believe the FOX wedding was
1836 Skirbeck
Henry FOX to Charlotte LANCASTER

Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Hello Geoff - `Lancaster'?  Oh - that puts a damper on Charlotte being Lavina's sister.  Still, it's definitely Lavina Growcock though.

I too found the `Sabina Gellis`entry but dismissed it because of the big difference in the name.  When I consider just how phonetics can play a part in these mixups though, I shall take another look, thanks again.

Sorry not to give full details as I am in a rush BUT ...

Not sure if this fits with the Drawcock Threekingham cum Stowe Green lot or not !

1851 census HO 107/2101 f 335 p1
Robert Grocock aged 49 b Stowe unm Ag Lab working for a George Thorpe In Threekingham

Gives his birthplace as Threekingham in 1861 and in 1871 is blind annuitant living with his sister (1881 gives sis-in-law) Jane born 1816/7 Bardney and some of her family.

Going back to 1861 Jane is the wife of Thomas Grocock, a tailor,  born 1798/9 Swarby - and the visitor in the entry, another Robert, born Threekingham 1841/2, also a tailor, is actually Thomas and Jane's son.

Relatives of your William??

Hello Mjames.  Thank you for taking time to look into my family history conundrom.  I am busy this weekend so won't be able to check it out in full detail, until later, but I will let you know of course.  I can tell you though that I think you are definitely onto something with this because there is a poor fellow who was blind from a young age from smallpox, in my line.

Thanks again.

Best wishes,

David

Yes, Robert appears to be William's brother.  Using FreeReg, I found both of their baptisms (as well as a John) in Threekingham cum Stowe Green and they are both to the parents, Thomas and Ann.

William DRAWCOCK [Grocock] baptised 1798
John DRAWCOCK [Grocock] baptised 1800
Robert DRAWCOCK [Grocock] baptised 1802

I'm struggling to find any record of a marriage of Thomas & Ann though.

Mind you, I did find a Thomas and Ann Grocock marriage - in about 1793 Claybrook, Leicester, but it's too tenuous a link to have any confidence that it's them.
