This looks like the probably wife of Ralph -

SSDI shows:- Bertha Martain. Born 6 April 1913 and died March 1985
Last Residence: 45242  Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio.
SSN issued: Ohio (Before 1951)

Ohio Deaths shows:-  Bertha J Martain, Born about 1914 Ohio Resided in Blue Ash Hamilton Ohio
Died 13 Mar 1985 In hospital - Bethesda North. Montgomery Hamilton . Aged 71 years. Certified by Coroner with autopsy used for certification. Widowed. Homemaker. Certificate: 021064

on looking over all that information again Sandra you really did a lot of work and it has been most helpful I am very grateful, thank you again. :)  one last question ? where do i start to find out if Ralph and Bertha Martain  had children. I dont know how to go about American records

Perhaps if you could locate an Obituary that may give details of any family.  The link below is for the Public Library in Cincinatti. Hamilton County. Ohio. On the top - right hand side - "Services" - if you follow this link it leads to "Ask A Librarian" - then there is an option to "Chat with us".  Hope this may be of help.
