Musselburgh High Street

Can anyone tell me if Musselburgh High Street and Fisherrow High Street are one and the same?  My Drummond and McNeill families seemed to quote both but with the same numbers.
Thanks

Looking at mid 19c maps both places had a High Street.   Check out Old-Maps.co.uk
Modern day the Fisherrow High Street that was is now North High Street.

Hi islander,

from an 1854 map there was and still is North High Street then Bridge Street then again onto the High street the latter is where the Town Hall is located so I would say it was Main High Street.

Where the Harbour is this is called New Street, Fisherrow eventually working its way to Bridge Street

Cheers.

Archie.

Musselburgh and Fisherrow were two separate communities so would have had two separate High Streets.
