Finlay was born in Edinburgh about 1830, but I am unable to find a record. I have taken this information from the 1841 census. Margaret Logan married John McNicol in Edinburgh in 1829 and these were his parents. Finlay was the oldest of at least 6 children.
I know what happened to Finlay but want to trace his parents families and beyond. I also wish to find his parents and siblings who emigrated to canada or US in the 1850's.
