Robert King Aberdeen

Hi can anyone help?  I am looking for the parents of Robert King.  He was born in Aberdeen between 1792 to 1796.  I have found his marriage to Mary Christie on 13 Dec 1817 in her fathers house in Aberdeen, but it does not contain any information on his parents.

What information do you have on your Robert King apart from what you have detailed above?

I see that the IGI only seems to show one child born to the couple.  A Janet King born on 27 Feb 1827 in Old Machar, Aberdeen.  HI haven't looked at Scotlands People for children to the couple.

Do you have the couple on census records - and alive after 1855?

The more info you give the more others can help.

Hi the information I have so far:

Robert King b. 1792, Greyfriars Aberdeen.

Married Mary Christie b. 1800 in Aberdeen in 1817.

Children:

John b.1825
Janet b.1827
Alexander b.1829
Jean b.1833
Margaret b.1835
Robert b. 1838  This is my 2nd Great Grandfather.
Archibald b. 1839
Elizabeth b.1841

Robert King died in Aberdeen in 1846.

I have found Robert in the 1841 Cencus. 

Robert King b. abt 1796, Aberdeen.
In the parish of Greyfriars.
Nelson Lane.
Age 45 Ironfounder.

Parish No 168A.

He is not on the 1851 Cencus as died in 1846.

Anyone got any ideas where to look next?

There's a marriage on FamilySearch.org on 6/12/1791 Slains, Aberdeen for a Robert King and Chrn (Christian?) Umphray, but no birth/baptism.
