i come from scarborough north yorkshire i moved to essex when i was 16 yrs old.
and i would like to trace the rowley family my father was robert henry rowley we share the same name
he was commonly known as bob rowley any help on this matter woud be gratefully apppreciated

think my father is still alive in scarborough i know he had brothers tom rowley snr and jnr spud rowley shirley rowley and joan rowley all come to mind tom rowley snr died but i dont know the dates

are you trying to contact living relations,,or trace your family history?

It's recommended that you get documentation to ensure you follow the right lines.  So are you wanting to trace your father and his parents back, or trace living relatives forwards?

I am related to the Scarborough Rowley's.  My grandfather was Jack Rowley, I believe the ones you listed are his brothers and sisters.  I have a copy of the family tree that goes back to 1905 that traces the Scarborough Rowley's back to County Mayo, Ireland.
