WOW.....thank you all so much for all the help and info.

You have all given me so many more things to check out.

I never go by the trees on ancestry as i like to do my own research but i couldnt believe how many trees there were on there that could all be so wrong.

Once again thank you all for your help. I really appreciate it.

Hi

I couldnt resist having another look at the tree i was given and it would seem that i am interested in William Crick from Ipswich and not lidgate.

It would appear that the person who started this tree that i have now taken over seemed to follow the trees on ancestry, which is where i got confused, as things just didnt add up.

But, with all your help i think i have figured it out.

Glad it's all making sense for you now.   Trouble with ancestry trees is that someone posts details which can include wrong information and others then pick up on it and enter this into their own trees and do it goes on.

As you will see from the census neither William had a wife who came from Blaxhall so how someone made this link in the first place is beyond me.
