Want to hire genealogist help...
« on: Friday 15 October 10 08:25 BST (UK) »
... I have some family history, back to GGG Grandparent level (with a few gaps and question marks on both maternal and paternal sides). I'm hoping to go further back if possible (pre-1800's) and obtain more specific information about the people I have managed to track down thus far.

Majority of the information uncovered thus far is from the Cambs/Suffolk area.

To be honest - I'm not very good at this genealogy thing and could use some help from someone who knows what they are doing. Please send me a private message if you think you can help me in my quest for knowledge.

Thank you kindly, Stuart.

Why not post your brick walls on the relevant county boards and see what Rootschatters can do for you? Cheaper than paying for professional help :)

I agree, post the queries you're stuck on and people will probably be able to help.  An experienced genealogist could probably help - but if you do things yourself you'll have a sense of achievement, it'll probably be cheaper - and before too long you'll be an experienced genealogist.

Your local library will have a selection of books on genealogy for all stages from beginners to advanced research in specific areas.
