Was Franklin her maiden or her married name?  If it was her married name - what was her maiden name

When and where was she born?  There are only 2 births for that name on freebmd and neither were in Bucks - 1878 Warwickshire and 1905 Islington

Only one marriage listed for that name - 1900 in West Ham Essex

A Florence B Franklin married in Islington in 1926 to Edward Putman

So she was born 2.1.1905 in Islington

The free 1911 census index has a Florence Franklin aged 6 living in Islington but you will have to buy credits to view the entry as the 1911 is strictly pay per view

The entry will have her parents names and the number of years they had been married which will help to trace their marriage

Hi

Her birth was from freebmd   www.freebmd.org.uk

The free 1911 index is at http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx

You may find the following useful when searching the index

USING THE FREE 1911 INDEX TO DETERMINE THE CORRECT HOUSEHOLD

http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx

Once you find a possible match - make a note of the county and district in which the person was living

Return to the index and in PERSONAL DETAILS - just put the surname of the family - nothing else

In LOCATION - Select the county and below it - type in the district

In OTHER MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD - show the full name of the person you have found on the index

Click SEARCH

You will have to buy credits to view the full entry - the above instructions will only help to possibly show others of the same name in the same household

Using the above instructions throws up rather a large number of names but I did pick up on a Blanche b 1876 so looked at Franklin marriages with a spouse called Blanche between 1893 -1905and found this one

Alfred Archibald D Franklin December qtr 1897 Holborn 1B 1207
Blanche Mary Tottem on the same page

The marriage details are as follows - you still need to check the 1911 entry to establish her parents names

10.10.1897 at St John - Clerkenwell

Alfred Archibald Douglas Franklin aged 29 bachelor - occ traveller - father Henry Franklin no occupation shown

Blanche Mary Tottem aged 21 spinster - father John Edwin Tottem no occ shown

Witnesses George Frederick Ludgate & Florence Louisa Evans

Can you confirm if these are her parents on the 1911 entry and I will see if I can find them on earlier censuses for you

I‘ve bought credits and checked the entry, her parents were Alfred b 1868 Clerkenwell and Blanche b 1876 Clerkenwell, they‘ve been married for 14 years, according to the entry.
