Parrotts of patrington/patrington haven

Does anyone have any links with Fennel parrott of patrington haven. He was born in 1818. I have lots of info if anyone needs any help.

Hi, sunk island,I have a connection to the Parrot family of Patrington. Sarah Parrot ,born 20 Jan 1832, married Brian Bielby on 22Jan 1854 at Patrington. They are my Gt.Gt. grandparents. I believe Sarahs father was a John Parrot born 12 Feb 1790 in Patrington. I believe they fished from the Haven But I have not gone to far into the family yet, I have concentrated on my Kent and other east yorks families. I was in connect with an Elizabeth Parrot who was reseaching but I lost her address when I moved, she lived near Leeds.

sunkisland & Clivealbert ... I also am related.  My Parrot is my 3x GGrandmother Jane Parrot 1826-1863 who married Robert Bielby (Brians brother)1830-?).  They married in 1853 in Hull.
I don't have a great deal of information, I live in Australia, so I have to rely on online information!

Jane Parrott (not sure if it is one or two t's) parents were James Parrott & Elizabeth Holliday.  I have Sarah Parrott parents as John Winter Parrott & Jane Turner.

Hi, sootybear, many years ago i was in touch with a Elizabeth Parrot, she sent me the following.
The parrot family house was at Patrington Haven, it was called Field House, next to the Methodist church. At one point the family kept their fishing tackle in the chapel when it became disused.
When they went fishing, they would go for 2-3 days at atime, sell their catch at Grimsby market and bring enough home to sell locally and eat themselves. They ate fish every day with rock semper a green plant growing on the banks of the Humber.The family fished from the haven until it silted up, then about 1860 they kept the boats at stoney creek, this entailed a walk of 7 miles to and from home.Mining in the Humber in2WW stopped all fishing and pollution after the war saw adecline in fishing The last boat lay at stoney creek for years and at present is laying rotting in the mud. James Parrot did not leave a will, his wife however did.
Proved Sept. 1849 value £300.
furiture left to her 9 children.
daughters; Mary(Jackson); Elizabeth(Oulsby); Ann(Langdale) £18 each.

Hi 2 u both.

 I live on Sunk Island which is the next Village to Patrington Haven. Clive the info that u had on how they fished and about Stone creek i found very interesting.

Do either of u know about the link with the Rank family. (As in the bread people) I found out about it awhile ago. And wondered if either of u had any more info about it. Just digging around in my files will let u know what i have when i find it. I must have a good sort out.

U both r the only people that i have been in contact with who r related from this branch of the family. And this makes me so happy. I have been on websites before and never been able to speak 2 any1 about them.

Thank you very much for your information.  It has been wonderful to hear the 'little' family stories.  I have found facts, but the stories are what makes it.  I have found a few articles in the Hull Packet on the Parrott men in fishing boat races.  They took part in Humber Regatta's in the late 1850's to early 1860's. 
Their boats names are:  Dove, Francis Parrott; Morning Star, John Parrott; Providence, James Parrott; Rising Sun, Robert Parrott; Rose, Richard Parrott.
On Ancestry.co.uk I have been in contact with a lady who has alot of 'our' Parrott's in her tree.  She even has photos of them online, which she has allowed my to copy.  The photos are of:  Fennel Parrott (1817-1896) headstone;  Francis Annie Parrott (1892- 1960)  & George Parrott (1896-?) photo; Francis Parrott (1872- 1955) photo; Henry Parrott (1846-?): a picture of the vessel Perserverence sailed by Henry Parrott and his brother.
I have not found any connection with the Rank family, so far!
