Hi I think the Louisa you refer to may be related to me, her maiden name was WIGGAL (WEIGGALL), from Pauntley in Glos, she married John Henry COOK(e) 30 July 1865, at St John the Evangelist, Pauntley. Harry John COOK(e) her son was my great grandfather.

Her parents were Samuel WIGGAL (WEIGGALL) and Elizabeth BOURNE married 18 January 1828, Pauntley, Gloucestershire, England.

if you have any information on the COOK(e) side I would be grateful to hear, hope this helps you. this is my first time replying to anything so sorry if it is a bit confusing, if you want any more info please let me know and if I have it I will glady help.

Thanks for the reply but this just doesn't seem right for my family, I will keep it in mind but none of it fits the family oral history well.  However I will keep it all in mind as a possible.

Hello,
I have a record of a William Edward Smith who was a coal agent based in the South Staffordshire town of Bearwood / Smethwick in 1904. It it looks like he secured a contract for a ticket agency at 24 Upper Hagley Road, Bearwood, with the Great Western Railway in July 1913. He married Kate Holmes and their son Jack Malcolm Smith was born at 13 upper Hagely Road on 28 April 1904.  Jack was a farmer and later married Joan Victoria MAry Elizabeth Thurtell, settled in Llanrwst and had a son John Merrion Smith.
Does this fit with anyone?

Thanks turtle but I know thats not him as he married Ada Goodwin in 1906 and they came to Austrlia in 1908/9.  I have sent off for their marriage cert so hope at least his father's name is on it!  So many Smiths
