Boness Family of Biggleswade

Hi,
Can anyone help me with some details of my maternal family line.  My grandmother was Sylvia Joan Boness (b. 1927 in Back St, Biggleswade) and all I can find are details of her mother is her maiden name of Stevenson.  My Mum seems to recall her first name as being Flora and her grandfathers name as Leslie? Could anyone please possibly help start me off with any information.  I don't wish to go down the route of ordering birth certificates yet if the information could be sourced elsewhere.

From freebmd - you just search for marriages for surname Boness with spouse name Stevenson

Marriages June qtr 1915 

John Boness   Biggleswade  3b 1030   
Flora K Stevenson   

You will need to buy a copy of the marriage cert to get their ages and their fathers names

Hi There appears to be several Boness families in the Biggleswade area so to ensure you get the correct one, I'd suggest you at least got your grandmas birth cert to check which one is the correct line. You'll then find it much easier to track backwards. best wishes.

Do you know the names of any of your grandmothers siblings?

If so - just search freebmd for Boness births with mothers maiden name Stevenson using Bedfordshire as the search county to find their names etc  - there are 4 entries prior to your grandmothers
