Hi Rabbit,

It really is a wonderful restore, Ivor has done a beauty too earlier in the thread?  I'm delighted with them both!  :D

I really can't tell with the age but I am sure that he is my Gt Grandfather.  Thas has been agreed by several people who met him.

I think the young lad in the front looks to be about 9/10 years of age.

Thank you Carol, :) I think that I have to accept that the older man can't be his grandfather. :(

Since you know the wedding dates of some of the young men, a very local newspaper might have carried an announcement.

If so, there may be other information a few days before/after the event.

I have found names of the bride and groom, their parents, "out-of-town guests", and lists of wedding presents for weddings that took place 1890-1910.  These were in small town newspapers in the US: central New York state, and central Michigan.  The people were not necessarily socially prominent, just small town folks.

The men may not be one family....perhaps the father/s and brothers of the bride and groom?

all the best,
Karen
