James and Hannah Bleasby
« on: Monday 11 October 10 16:31 BST (UK) »
James Bleasby married Hannah Stalker in 1855. Both James and Hannah died in 1864 in Castleford. Both deaths are listed in the March Quarter of 1864 James on page 83 and Hannah on Page 79. I am hoping to find out how they died since James was only 30 and Hannah was only 26. They left 4 children aged 3 to 8 behind.

I don't know if this site helps.......

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/Misc/Transcriptions/WRY/SouthMilfordBurials1847_1979.html

It is a list of burials at South Milford which is not that far from Castleford and it shows a Hannah Bleasby aged 26 and date of burial as Jan 14th 1864 (1st quarter which matches your data). Could this be her?

There is no James Bleasby senior shown in the list but there is a James Bleasby infant who was buried on Feb 17th 1864.

I haven't looked through the full list but did come across another Bleasby around the same time.

Another site which might help.....

Christenings from Familysearch pilot to JAMES/HANNAH
GEORGE, Birth 16 May 1856, Christened 16 June 1856
HENRY, Birth 20 June 1858, Christened 29 June 1858
CLARA, Birth 25 February 1860, Christened 30 April 1860
SARAH ANN, Christened 16 March 1862
All at South Milford, Yorkshire

Sounds to me by the info that The Mc found that the James who died was a Child of James/Hannah.
There is a Birth/Death Reg for a James BLEASBY both in March 1864, Castleford.
Sounds to me that she died after giving Birth and James Jnr died shortly after.

Trish :)
