Thank you Christene, He is indeed my man. That is much more info than I was hoping for even a cause of death given.
                       With Thanks Alan.

Hi Alan,

I've not come across a record like this before, though I do know there are some.  There was a column at the end of the record marked 'disease'.  It wasn't completed for all the entries but luckily there was that comment for Innis.  All you have to do now is figure out what he could have been suffering from!

Hi Christine.
This Innis Denty must have been in the mould of Charlie Chaplin, he didn't marry till 1794 in Edinborough.
He then retired to Berwick and had 3 children Innis Francis 1795, John1797 & James all born Berwick, he must have been at least 70 years old and just retired the Army.
His wife was about 24.
                          Alan.

Way to go, Innis  ;D

He obviously couldn't stand the pace for too long if he died in 1800 but I expect he died happy  :o

I think that Innis/Ennis Denty is the brother of my James Denty but haven't as yet been able to prove it.  However, I went to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, today and found in the birth of Innis Francis Denty the birth places of his parent's.  I would like to know how you are related to Innis Denty?  In as much as we seem to be working on the same family maybe we can be of help to each other?
