Plse save me from a costly mistake
« on: Friday 08 October 10 10:54 BST (UK) »
Am I right in thinking that purchasing a death certificate from South Australia on line would cost me around £30 (inc postage)? If so, is there any way of checking a death certificate's details before purchase? I know how old the woman I am looking for would have been at the time of her death – is there any way I can confirm that before paying out a large sum of money for the certificate?
If anybody can answer my questions or give me some advice I'd be ever so grateful.

If you post the details you have, one of us may be able to tell you most of what is on the certificate.....South Australian certificates are very like English certificates, and the index usually contains name, age , place of residence, place of death, date of death, a relative's name, and the reference you need to order the certificate.

What's missing is the cause of death etc.....
