The link already given in reply #1 on this thread (on Thursday). If posting census details please post link to the information to save others searching for what you've already found.

Came across by chance John Brady, Sergeant R.I. Constabulary, 38, Widower born Cavan on the County Clare Census of Ireland, 1901, from Police Barracks, District of Kilclogher, townland Mahonburg DED number 34/5/1

http://www.clarelibrary.ie

or go through www.google.com type in box - Bradys of Ruan County Clare

on the census for ireland, only the people in the house at the time of the census calling are on the census, and sometimes the ages are not right.

it look like John Brady children were living at 8 Mahonburgh, Clare in 1901, but when you look on the census and type Brady it will not take you to the House, John Brady on the census come under the initial B, so it you have not found it. www.census.nationalarchives.ie
than you click on Browse Census, then click on 1901, then click on Clare, then click on Kilcloher, then click on Mahonburgh then go down the page to no. 8. Letter B.
then click on House and Building Return (Form B1) it say John had two rooms and there was 5 of them.

Kilclogher on the County Clare site is spelt different of the census Kilcloher as above.

That's why I couldn't find them then - I would not have thought of doing that - thank you again for all your help.  I am so glad I found this website, it's been invaluable to me doing my research.
Thanks again to you and all.
