Death Record for William Alfred Edwards Middlesex
« on: Thursday 07 October 10 11:43 BST (UK) »
Hi I am trying to locate a death record for my GGG grandfather William Alfred Edwards who was born in 1855/1856 in Middlesex. I have located him on the 1911 census living in Brentford Middlesex and working as a furniture Dealer (age in 1911 is 56yrs). I would appreciate any assistance in tracing his death record.
Thanks.
Edwards, James (Antrim /London City/India)

Hello

If you search freebmd you will see that there are a few possibilities for the death record in Brentford.

May be worth contacting Hounslow Register Office and asking for death certificate for William Alfred Edwards with all the details you have.

Unless you have an actual date and place of death, the register office may not be able to help with your enquiry.

http://www.hounslow.gov.uk/index/community_and_living/deaths_funerals_and_cremations/death_registration.htm

"We are unable to provide certificates if you only have a Vol and page number, quarter and District. This is the unique index reference for the General Register Office (GRO) and you should direct your application to them."
