just want to say thank you so much for all ur comments and i no how everyone feels (im his daughter in law) its awful what happend and god we miss him terribly and even now i still cry when i think of him and can still here him saying his daft hullo he used to say when i spoke to him.   we are all devastated over him gone, he was like a true father to me and made everything he touched glow and was a very infectious man, hes made an impact on many people including myself he was a true gent with a huge heart and wanted to help everyone he could, he was a doting grandaddy to my 9 month old daughter all his family love and miss him including rootschat family so thank you all for all the beautiful things u have said about daddy touches my heart  may he watch over us all xxxxx

What sad news, my deepest sympathy to all his family. Ricky helped me with a couple of my brickwalls when I was a newbie on here, and gave us a good laugh in 'ye inne' when he was 'Poacher'.

Oh no, I do feel for Ricky's family I can't believe this sad news.  Ricky helped me out a lot with requests when I first started on roots.  Ricky was only helping me Sunday last with one of my postings, and I meant to add 'long time no see Ricky' meaning I hadn't 'spoken' to him for a while, but I mistakenly posted before I wrote that bit.
