Thanks so much for this. It confirms the Lydia that I already have, but seems you may have found Moses for me.. Thanks again. Barbara

Hi BarbaraJay

It is not always a good idea posting new requests at the end of an old topic when your person of interest is not related. Topics with a large post count are sometimes overlooked as there is a perception that the research is already underway.

Starting a new topic is a better way forward in the future.

Hope this helps.

Sorry if I did wrong. I've not used this site before, and came upon this message via a search. Barbara

Hi Barbara

Many people join Rootschat as a result of an internet search and no, you didn't do anything wrong.

But to get the best results, if your person of interest isn't the same as those you find on a search, then starting a new topic is the best way forward. I can see why you tacked your request onto the bottom of this as it is to do with St John's Hillingdon but not William Bower.

Happy hunting

Dawn

Carole has given the full details from the burial register on her previous post (reply #8) and Bookbox more background information on your other topic

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=752513.0

It's possible this is the man you are looking for but he is away from home and the workhouse registers with more information aboutr him nay not survive.

I did look at the admission & discharge register for him but couldn't find an entry but the pages are in a real muddle and some might have been lost.
