Where is Ironfields
« on: Friday 01 October 10 21:39 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find the birth date for Henrietta Ford who, according to the 1861 census for St Marylebone Middlesex was born abt 1800 in Ironfields,Lincolnshire, her father was Gilbert Ford, place of birth unknown - mother unknown.
Apparently she was married in Monmouthshire,Wales to Peter Moody about 1821 but, have been unable to locate this either.
Peter Moody was the Chaplain of the St Johns Chapel Infirmary,Marylebone,Middlesex and the family appears on the 1841,1851 & 1861 census of St Marylebone. Is there a place called Ironfields.  Any help or clues would be much appreciated as I am now stuck.      :D

Hi Barbara

Henrietta's birthplace is given as Middlesex in 1841 and 1851 ???

I believe 1861 has Lincolns Inn Fields :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln%27s_Inn_Fields

Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Thanks Geoff - that starts to make things a bit clearer, had just assumed the 1841/1851 census were wrong about her birth place.
