William Moody seeking a Marriage Date
« on: Friday 01 October 10 04:35 BST (UK) »

Hi,

I'm looking for a marriage between a William Moody and Mary Peebles or Peoples, also a Death Date for William Moody.
William was born 1842 Lenamore Magilligan Londonderry. They had a daughter Margaret Anne born 1873.

Mary Moody(Peebles or Peoples) on her remarriage she was shown as a widow, she married William Power in Magilligan 6th Sept 1882 Tamlaghtarde Parish Church . Marys address was shown as Shrove Moville Donegal when she married William  Power.

I have tried Londonderry for a marriage without success, here's hoping I have success in Donegal.

Thank you
Green Oak

Hi derrylass,

Thank you for your quick response, it's very very much appreciated.

I was wondering if you could advise me of the correct procedure, to obtain a copy of this marriage license, from Inishowen District Donegal.

The information given on Family Search, will that be sufficient, if I don't have an exact day or month of the event.

Thank you
Green Oak

Hi Rathmore,

Thanks for the link, I have found it very helpful. In the 1901 census it mentions a place called Stroove. Is that the same place as Shrove Moville?.
