Records of a divorce

I know of an old gentleman who died about 3 years ago and was probably born before 1920. His mother divorced her husband before the second World War I believe. Is their any centralised records of decrees nisi and are any available on line?

Hi erix,
I don't think that divorce records are available online, but the National Archives produce a very informative leaflet about them:

It might also be worth looking in local newspapers for any reports at the time.
Good luck
Nell
