Looking for descendants of Thomas Muncie b 1797 and Jeannie McBeth b 1800 Troqueer, Kirkcudbrightshire, all Ayrshire. Settled in Muirkirk/Lugar/Auchinleck area.

She too is a direct descendant of Thomas Muncie and Jeannie McBeth, their gg granddaughter, through their daughter Christina Muncie who married James McCrone in Auchinleck in 1851. Have you managed, since then, to piece together information relating to McCrone / Muncie.
I have been doing this tree for 20 years and have the generation before Thomas. I am working
on the Boyes family who are my g grandmothers namesakes.I have no problems with sharing any
information that i have or indeed help with any further research you require.

I have looked back into the information I gathered about the Muncie and McBeth families. I have Thomas Muncie's father as being John Muncie and his mother was Margaret McCartney. Jeannie McBeth's father was Daniel McBeth and Janet Brown was her mother. I got this information from Death Certificates and IGI extracted records. If I have this wrong please let me know. Thanks

I have photographs and inscriptions of Muncie/ McCrone headstones. I am also in direct contact
with living relatives of the same McCrone family. I can send you the photos for your records if you don,t already have them.

parish before moving to Muirkirk.
