Looking to re connect to Turner family.
« on: Sunday 26 September 10 19:47 BST (UK) »
This may be a long shot!  But here goes.  Trying  to locate Frank and George Turner, This would be on my mothers side of the family. My Grand father and mother along with their three children Frank, George and Phyllis [my mother ] were residing at 25 Duncan terrace Islington N 1 when my mother was born in 1900 . Moving along to 1919 when my mother met and married James Garnet and left England in 1919 for U.S. My two uncles Frank and Georgr owned and operated the Frank Turner exhibition stand fitters at 132 & 134 Liverpool Rd London. The last time I had contact with them was in 1953 when  my ship tied up at Southend on sea. In 1959 when my mother passed away all contact evaporated . I believe there may be other family members in the area  I do know that eather Frank or George had two sons one was Richard and was a police officer in the London area.  Thanks for opening and reading this request.

hi
It is RootsChat policy to not post names of the living/possibly living (identity theft etc) I would imagine George and Frank to be deceased -but maybe their children are still living

Could we have some d.o.b.'s?

and did George and Frank have middle names ?

1901 census  islington shows Frank R Turner age 2 and Phyliss L Turner age 11mth with parents Robert Ed and Dominica
Is the the family you are seeking????

Thanks for coming back to me . I apologise for that obvious blunder on my part. No excuse. How do I remove this post in order to prevent further problems,  :-[

no problem -you don't need to remove post -mods will delete anything which "breaks rules" -you won't be in trouble!!!

I thought if we had George and Frank's full names and d.o.b. we could maybe find their death reg's (think it unlikely they would be still living)
We could possibly find marriage reg's and children from thereon

The children are most probabbly still living -so that type of information can be passed via PM facility not posted on open boards

So if you have Frank and George's births then it would help

If I have the correct family Frank is Frank R in 1901 -but looking at the 1911 index (free to view) he is Francis???

To who??
Received a personal message {great info} However I am as dumb as dirt when it comes to figuring out what one is trying to tell me and how to figure out and navigate , I would like so much to see the photos you mention, However I do not subscribe to web sights that charge. No $$$$. From what you tell me this is definitely the family.  Please come back to me
