Date and Restore please, 2photos

Hello,

I am looking for help with two photos. The 1st is of my Grandad, Thomas Reid (aged 35) and Granny, Rebecca Reid (aged 34) wedding. It dates Sept 1947 and i need help restoring it as it is the only complete family photo from their wedding.

The 2nd photo i believe is also of my Grandad, although i can't be sure. Would it be possible to date and restore this photo so that i can work out if it is him?
