Hi. I am an Orchard living in Cardiff South Wales. I am eager to trace my ancestors and wondered if anyone could give me some advice. Thanks.

Hi. I was told that my ancestors are from the Travellers Community, but i don't know who/where to start, so thought that geneology route might take me there.
This is all new to me, and i am not sure if i am doing it right. My parents divorced in the 60's, so i know nothing of my family until i joined this site.
Thanks.

No sign so far of them being part of the travelling community (if we have the correct family)

see glamorgan board

Thanks Suz - I recommended that Yogga post a new request on the Glamorgan board and hoped that seasoned Rootschatters would take the hint and reply there, so it's my fault there is duplication ...

Yogga has now posted on Glamorgan as recommended:

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=485195.msg3435143

On this thread, Yogga mentioned ORCHARD ancestors who were thought to be travellers in the west country - perhaps we can split the replies depending on which aspect we are following?

So - Travellers here - Welsh ORCHARDs in Glamorgan please.
