my original thought was he'd gone to ireland and met his wife there....before we found him i nwest calder......and before we found her in devon.
got their marriage cert from 1894 in ayr. this confirmed by my grandads birth cert.
just can't find thomas between 1881 and 1894....think really need to look for him down south more.
you've confirmed though that first two girls are my grandads half sisters....thanks very much. don't worry about this when you're travelling.

I've just found an entry on the 1891 on SP for another family that's not on the other sources. Carole will confirm.

Have you tried the 1891 on SP for him?
