Judith,

John & Ann Booth (nee Dowson) emigrated to VIC in 1852.

It's in the research tagline of Thornett's posts  :)

So, Jane was born in the UK.

John and Ann Booth came out to Australia with two daughters, Jane and Hannah. Hannah died shortly after. Their third and last daughter Elizabeth was born in Victoria in 1855.

According to his death certificate it says John spent 12 years in NSW and 28 years in Victoria.
