Hi  :)
I have a list of birth/baptism from the church of crossroads Co Don. Ireland.
http://mcn.ie/crossroads/index.htm
It lists  the Morrison’s:-
Elizabeth 02/04/1824.  Father John. Mother  n/g  address  n/g.
Jane  09/03/1817.  Father John. Mother  n/g  address  meeting house.
Jane  03/04/1834.  Father John. Mother  n/g  address  n/g.
John  08/10/1820.  Father John. Mother  n/g  address  meeting house.

Morris.  25/05/1822.  Father John. Mother  n/g  address  n/g.
William. 01/06/1826.  Father John. Mother  n/g  address  n/g.
Can any one tell me if  John is father to all, or are there one, two or more Johns ? ???

Margaret  30/10/1814. Father n/g Mother  n/g  address  meeting house.
Also I have a John. Marred to Margaret Morrison both fathers  John Morrison. In 15/01/1863 the husband to be, being a “Churchminster” this looks to me as two fathers. (witness  Joseph Morrison from  meeting house.)

Any help would be much appreciated.  Regards Bruce. ::)

Gosh you’ve waited a long time for a reply, but these are my people too. One John Morrison is John Morrison m Priscilla Braden or Bredin,  the other John Morrison I don’t know as yet. Both Johns had a child who married each other.
I’m descended from John & Priscilla, who moved to Churchminister aka Kilmonaster where they had more children. My gt gt grandfather is Robert, born c 1847…. Priscilla is in the 1901 census in Kilmonaster aged 100. I’ve tracked about 5 or 6 of their children, some went to the West of Scotland, at least one to US ( I suspect other descendants may also have headed to the US). I have been looking for Crossroads Presbyterian records online but they seem to have vanished…. I’ve got DNA matches on ancestry who descend from this couple, albeit rather distant. If you’d like any more info, please let me know, will share what I have. regs Joan

Thanks for posting! That’s our Priscilla in the census in 1901. Yes daughter in law Mary Ann Wauchope registered her death, yes she says age 75. If Priscilla were actually that age in 1901, she’d potentially have been giving birth before she was born herself. Now that’s quite the miracle 😂.

So Mary Ann Wauchope married David Morrison in February 1876 at Urney Presbyterian Church. Is James Wauchope a witness her brother?

Wow thanks again! I haven’t researched Mary Ann Wauchope’s family yet, so thanks that’s a great start!

Thanks so much, I already have these records but really appreciate a keen second eye! I originally had found earlier generations online at a website run by Crossroads Presbyterian Church, but that site appears to have vanished. I don’t suppose you know if these records are online somewhere else now? Any help in tracking down Crossroads PC records would be fantastic, I’ve drawn a blank. PRONI apparently have them too but I can’t seem to access them remotely ( I’m in Scotland)….
