I see a Frederick James Rounsefull on FreeBMD birth registered Dec 1890 at Stoke Damerell, Devon. If this is a son of your Frederick then we know he had not died by 1889 - his death would have been later.

The 1871 census has Frederick Rounsefull, age 9, with widowed mother Elizabeth age 50, a dressmaker. He has siblings Charles 27, Alfred 12 - also living at Stoke Damerel.
