disappearing greatgrandad

my greatgrandad was thomas stewart born dumfries 1865 to thomas and elizabeth, they appear to have split up after this. young thomas living with grandparents william and jane netherwood cottages 1871 census. next record of him i can find is 1901 census when he's in glasgow with helen wife and his family.. need to find him between 1871-1901 if anyone can help.

according to the 1901 their daughters Ethel (14) and Alice (12) were born in England but not Helen (7) so they might have been in England sometime between 1871 census and 1894.

do you have their marriage? the 1901 census says Helen is from Ireland.

not at home now but supposedly married in wallacetown ayr, year  1894.  but cant find on scotlands people. tried variations of names etc.

There's this marriage in 1894 in Ayr on SP ~

Thomas Stewart and Ellen Muldowney Rounsefull (?)

But not sure of Helen's surname
