Hi Jacquie,

A Big Welcome to RootsChat  ;D

Not sure what sort of information you require.

Thomas SEAMAN = Ann DAVERAGE 11 May 1818 St Michael's Milverton witnesses William Marton and John Sealy

In 1841 Thomas aged 50 and Ann aged 45 are in Milverton. She lists as born in the country.

1851 Thomas is aged 64 born Milverton and Ann is 59 born Milverton. I further note that next door is James DAVERIDGE 50 born Milverton.

Ann was buried at St Michael's 10 Feb 1861 aged 69

1861 Thomas is now widowed aged 74 born Stawley

Thomas was buried 17 Apr 1864 at St Michael's. He was aged 78.

Please let me know if you require the census entries

Cheers Kris  :)

Thanks Kris:   I am using a round about way of trying to resolve a question of whether 'our' Thomas Seaman is from Stawley or Milverton.   I was hoping to draw out some researchers on the Daveridge/Daverage side to see if they had any further justifications for which one he may be.   As you can see, from 1851 & 1861 census records, his birth place changes.    This further leads to two very different ancestral lines.  Thanks again for your help.   Jacquie

Hi Jacquie,

Do you have appropriate baptisms in both these parishes? A quick look through Milverton and I did not see one to fit.

Seems consistant with age although POB does change

1841 aged 50 so born between 1786 and 1790
1851 aged 64 (1787)
1861 aged 74 (1787)
buried april 1864 aged 78 (1786)

Cheers Kris  :)

We have a baptism for Thomas of Stawley for 17 July 1791 but not one for Milverton.   I guess I will just accept that 'our' Thomas is of Stawley.   Thanks for your input.   Jacquie
