Sarah PAUL b. 1834 Langport, father Joseph PAUL
« on: Wednesday 06 April 05 19:44 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the mother of Sarah Paul b. 1834 at Langport somerset.

Her father was Joseph Paul and I believe he was born at Beaminster but I maybe wrong.

Sarah married in 1855 to George Daw in Beaminster and I think she had an Illigitamate child called George just before she got married but it seems that George Daw was probably registered in 1856 as he seems to appear on the 1861 census as George Paul living with Joseph Paul in Beaminster and Sarah Daw is living with George Daw with only a daughter in 1861. This is only correct of course if george is the same person.

If anyone can find Joseph living with sarah in 1851 or 1841 this woudl be great or if anyone has any other information or feels that may have a link with my Paul family here please let me know.

Cheers Lisa

Hi Lisa...I am afraid these people do not appear in Langport in 1851 census. there are numerous Pauls in the parish but alas no Joseph and the only Sarah is only 11. Just wondering if you have tried Beaminster in case the family have already moved on to that parish. I am unable to check there as it comes under Dorset so would suggest if you have not tried there perhaps you should try a 1851 request on the Dorset Board. Otherwise hopefully somebody can find them in 1841 for you....All the Best....kris  :D

allibaker, I am not sure about your last posting because I know that Frederick did not die because he was still having children in 1887 unless i have the wrong family that my Frederick belongs too.

Thank you Lisa

judging by the 1841 cencus there was a 4 month old frederick living with them and in 1851 there was 2yr old frederick living with them this is why i assumed that the first frederick died and the second one was named after him
