Are you still actively researching this line?

On working down through my ancestral lines I have James Davidson and Agnes Scott as a 4th Great-Grandparents. As you state on Agnes's death certificate. Her Father: Charles Scott, Farmer (deceased)
and Mother: Hannah Scott formerly Carruthers (deceased)".

Have you made any progress on this line?

There was a James Caruthers farming in Legaloy in the tithe applotment records 1834. Legaloy has been mentioned previously as being where  Charles Scott resided. So possibly James was Hannah’s father?

No Caruthers or Scott households in the townland by the time of  Griffiths Valuation c 1860.

I also see a Cruthers, Jas. Townland: Legaloy Year: 1833 , probably the same chap a year before the one you mentioned.
