Going back to part of the OP's query, an image of the death registration for James Beatty of Kilmore West is now online:

James was also recorded as living in Kilmore West at the time of his marriage in 1884 in Drum 2nd Presbyterian Church (the same location name was then given for the birth of 1st daughter Susan in 1885), Anne Jane was living in Kilnaharvey. The bad news is that both fathers' names and occupations were omitted, just the word 'deceased' was written against both:

There were a few Beattys and Dorans nearby according to Griffiths Valuation, including a Nathaniel Beatty in Kilmore West (local print date 1858) who may be related. A Nathaniel Beatty of Kilmore West married a Jane Doran of Drumhay on 9 July 1861 in Drum 1st Presbyterian Church, the respective fathers were farmers called James Beatty and Robert Doran.
